Chic Chicks!

What a fun Easter surprise. A little chick popping out of it's shell to celebrate. My son wanted to make sure that we made some of the eggs white, {because chicks come from white eggs, not easter eggs ;) } Then my daughter wanted me to make a crack in the egg to show that it was just "cracking" out. This is what we came up with!

Easter egg hunt

We have a tradition in our family at easter, we love to decorate easter eggs. Does that sound typical? Well we don't decorate hard boiled eggs, we decorate sugar cookie eggs. These cookies are bound to make any egg hunt fun. At least a lot better tasting than a hard boiled egg!

Hip Hop Easter's on its Way!

I am so excited for Easter this year. I love making Easter cookies. I had fun with the carrots this year. It is a new cutter for me. I made the leaves out of sugarpaste. My husband gave me the idea for the little sheep! Happy Easter!

These cookies came to me when I thought of St. Patrick's Day. What a popular slogan. It is fun to be lucky when you wear green!

Looking forward to Spring/Summer

When I think of Summer I think of little lady bugs, and fresh fruit. I made the leaves for the cherries out of sugarpaste. I love the way it gives a 3D effect. My little 3 year old son loves ladybugs. When he saw these cookies he said.." you make me my ladybugs!" Oh how cute!
